shortest day of the year

shortest day of the year

The short in this year for detail follow.
Boston (DbTechNo) - With today being the winter solstice, the snowy season is officially upon us.

For many of us, winter came earlier than today of course, but it is today, the shortest day of the entire year when it officially begins for all.

The official winter solstice will take place at 12:47 pm EST (1747 GMT) when at that exact moment, the earth’s axial tilt puts it the fartherest from the sun.

Tonight will be the shortest day of the year, followed by the longest night of the year, meaning that it will be getting darker earlier tonight and getting lighter later than normal tomorrow morning.

Those who despise winter will be happy to know that after today, the days begin getting longer again, and before you know it, the summer solstice will be upon us.
