Today, 23 December, marks Festivus, the holiday began in the fictional "Seinfeld show to celebrate the season without the pressure or the commercial and religious aspects. "Festivus for the rest of us" is the slogan of the holiday season.

The festival is symbolized by an aluminum can "Festivus pole" instead of a Christmas tree and holiday dinner includes "airing of grievances" and "demonstrations of force", which consisted in showing customers wrestling with Frank Costanza, George's father.

According to the party Festivusweb.com featured in "The Sting" episode of Seinfeld, which aired on 18 December 1997. Since then, the festival of television has become a semi-true day of celebration for fans of the show and others who can relate to the message of the day.
