Students in fifth grade at Queen of the Miraculous Medal, decided to have a different, more conventional spin on the songs of Jesus Christ during the annual Christmas concert on Thursday.
The concert for students in kindergarten through sixth grade was vibrant, with red and white T-shirts and choir style songs. The fifth-grade class made something a little different, a song called `` wrap Christmas.''
It is what it seems: a piece of rap style that speaks instead of singing. Shouted is more like it, Joce said McEldowney, 11.
`` We got to step on toes, clap, snap your fingers and throw hand movements,''said Joce. `` The best part is we get to scream. Moreover, it takes time away from school, which is nice. A lot of people come to see us.''
