STROM finally left the Reagan National Airport for detail follow.
his storm is hitting just as people are getting ready to head out of town for the holidays. At Reagan National Airport, some people decided to change their flights Friday night.
The decision to leave early happened at dinnertime Thursday for Sam Chapel, his wife and four daughters.
"We were supposed to leave at originally 7:30 morning and I just knew that'd be in the middle of the snowstorm," said Sam Chapel
The McLean, Virginia family of six packed up and successfully changed their flights for their Christmas holiday in the Caribbean. They are flying to to the connecting airport in Charlotte a day early.
