boxing day history

boxing day history

Until recently I had not realized that most of the world is 26 December Day of St. Stephen, but on Boxing Day! The term Boxing Day is only used in the UK, Canada, Australia and other countries of the Christian community. The origin of the term is believed to come from the rich practice of giving gifts to the underprivileged. These were stored in a "Christmas Box", which was not opened until 26 December. However, there are many different interpretations that can be found here!
