NORTHERN Irish singer Van Morrison is celebrated today the birth of his son George Ivan Morrison III.

Morrison, 64, and his wife, Gigi Lee said the newborn "Little Van" is the spitting image of his father.

They said the baby is a dual citizen of U.S. and the United Kingdom.

Morrison, born in Belfast, which is notoriously private, has kept the location secret birth.

The baby arrived safely yesterday, and his birth was announced on the website of the singer.

According to the family, 'Van III is the spitting image of his father and has dual citizenship both in Northern Ireland / UK and the USA. "

Morrison, whose career spans 45 years of soul, blues, jazz, R & B and country, has a 39-year-old daughter, singer / songwriter Shana Morrison, from his first marriage to Janet "Planet" Minto.

Known for songs like Moondance and Brown Eyed Girl, Morrison was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1993, but refused to attend the ceremony.
